Biography

An MFA Graduate from San Francisco State University and a documentary filmmaker, Erica Filanc works professionally as a freelance Producer and Director. The past four years Erica has produced, directed, shot and edited multiple short documentaries and narrative shorts. One short entitled, "Living Poets" won multiple "Best Short Documentary" awards from festivals and another "The Happy Box" is featured on the bonus disk of "The Future of Food." Filanc also directs and produces on-line reality shows for Game Pro Magazine about Computer building and Game Design. She has a great source of highly skilled and professional colleagues and can pull a solid crew together within half a day. As a politically active filmmaker, Filanc pursues subjects that expose social issues and through her films attempts to bring discussion of these issues to the foreground.
